B.O.T.D. is subscription hockey-coaching software owned and operated by FENRIR LLC. Keep your account secure, enter only information you have permission to use, and remember that the software is an instructional visualization aid—not an official ruling, medical, or safety authority.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and FENRIR LLC (“FENRIR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern access to and use of B.O.T.D. Hockey Playbook Studio, botdhockey.com, related applications, support, and services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, accessing the Service, or clicking to accept these Terms, you agree to them. If you use the Service for a team, club, school, company, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.
2. The Service
B.O.T.D. is a digital hockey playbook, coaching, and presentation tool. Depending on the version and features available, it may allow users to build rosters, create plays and drills, place players on a rink, map movement, direct puck actions, edit timing, add telestration or visual emphasis, organize a playbook, save or export sequences, and replay coaching material.
Features may be added, changed, limited, or removed as the Service develops. Screenshots, demonstrations, release notes, and roadmap statements describe current or planned functionality but do not guarantee that a feature will remain available in a particular form.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to purchase a subscription or enter into these Terms. You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
You are responsible for activity under your account, for protecting credentials, and for promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access. Individual subscriptions may not be sold, transferred, or shared in a way that defeats applicable account or seat limits.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and renewal
Pricing and billing options
B.O.T.D. Coach Pro is offered with monthly and annual recurring billing at the prices displayed at checkout. The standard prices are currently $9.99 USD per month or $79 USD per year, plus applicable taxes, unless a different price or valid promotion is clearly shown before purchase. Both billing options provide the same Coach Pro feature set unless checkout expressly states otherwise.
Automatic renewal
Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the billing interval you select—monthly or annually—unless canceled before the renewal date. Promotional pricing may apply only to an initial billing period. The checkout page and receipt identify the amount charged initially, the billing interval, and the future renewal terms.
Plan changes
Changing from one billing interval to another may require canceling the existing subscription and purchasing the other option, or contacting support. No credit, proration, or plan change applies unless it is confirmed through the billing portal, checkout, or FENRIR support.
Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe or another provider identified at checkout. You authorize the processor to charge the selected payment method for the initial purchase, recurring renewals, applicable taxes, and authorized adjustments.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel future renewal through any available billing portal or by contacting support. Access ordinarily continues through the paid period. Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Taxes
Where FENRIR is required to collect sales, use, value-added, or similar tax, it will be added at checkout or handled as permitted by law.
5. Your content and coaching data
“User Content” includes team and roster information, player names or nicknames, numbers, positions, coaching notes, plays, routes, drawings, logos, images, and other material you enter, upload, create, or share through the Service.
You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant FENRIR a limited, nonexclusive license to host, process, reproduce, display, and transmit it only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service, follow your instructions, and meet legal obligations.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to use the User Content. Some versions of the Service store coaching data locally in the browser or device. You are responsible for maintaining available exports or backups; clearing browser data, using private browsing, changing devices, or deleting application storage may remove locally stored content.
6. Youth-player information
B.O.T.D. is sold to adult coaches and organizations, not directly to children. A coach may choose to enter limited roster information about youth players. You are responsible for obtaining any required permission and for minimizing personal information.
Use initials, nicknames, numbers, or position-only rosters when full names are unnecessary. Do not enter player home addresses, personal contact information, birth dates, medical information, school records, government identifiers, or other sensitive information into coaching plays.
7. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, or to violate another person’s rights.
- Upload malicious code, probe security, bypass access controls, or interfere with operation.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, copy, resell, or redistribute the Service except as allowed by law or written permission.
- Use another person’s account or payment method without authorization.
- Upload content you do not have the right to use.
- Use the Service to harass, exploit, identify, or endanger a minor.
- Misrepresent an output as an official ruling, certification, medical recommendation, or safety guarantee.
8. FENRIR and B.O.T.D. intellectual property
The Service, software, interface, animations, documentation, FENRIR marks, B.O.T.D. marks, and FENRIR-provided content are owned by FENRIR LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.
Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used by FENRIR without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.
9. Availability, updates, and beta features
The Service may be unavailable for maintenance, security work, provider outages, or other reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent storage, or compatibility with every browser, device, stylus, operating system, or network.
Features labeled beta, preview, trial, experimental, or similar are provided for evaluation and may contain defects. Review important coaching material before relying on it in a practice, game, presentation, or safety-sensitive setting.
10. Coaching and rules disclaimer
Off-side indicators, puck physics, timing estimates, formations, and simulations are simplified representations. Actual play depends on athlete ability, equipment, ice conditions, officiating judgment, league rules, and circumstances the Service cannot model.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FENRIR LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, CONTRACTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL; OR PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON A COACHING VISUALIZATION.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FENRIR’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO FENRIR FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel future renewal at any time. FENRIR may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address nonpayment, unlawful conduct, material breach, security risk, abuse, or harm to the Service or another person.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law—will survive.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any non-waivable consumer right, disputes will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Washington.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. We will post the revised version with a new “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.
